Cancellation and Refund Policy

This Cancellation and Refund Policy ("Policy") applies to all orders placed by individual consumers on beautygarage.com ("Platform"), operated by Beauty Garage Limited ("BGL", "we", "us", "our"). It should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions, Return Policy, and Shipping and Delivery Policy. This Policy has been prepared in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
Order Cancellations
When you can cancel
You may cancel an order at any time before it has been dispatched from our warehouse. Once an order has been dispatched and a shipment tracking number has been assigned, cancellation is no longer possible. In such cases, you may initiate a return after delivery, subject to our Return Policy.
How to cancel

Cancellation requests are processed on a best-effort basis. If your order has already been picked and packed at the time of your request, we may not be able to cancel it even if it has not yet been dispatched. In such cases, you may refuse delivery and a refund will be initiated once the product is returned to us and inspected.
Cancellation by Beauty Garage Limited
Beauty Garage Limited reserves the right to cancel any order, in full or in part, for reasons including product unavailability or stock shortfall, pricing or listing errors on the Platform, failure of payment authorisation or suspected fraudulent activity, inability to deliver to the specified address, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Where BGL cancels an order, you will be notified promptly and a full refund will be issued.
Refund on cancellation
For prepaid orders cancelled before dispatch, refunds are initiated within 24 to 48 business hours of cancellation confirmation and credited to the original payment source within the timelines set out in the Refund Timelines section below.
For COD orders cancelled before dispatch, no payment has been collected and no refund action is required.
Returns
Eligibility for return
We accept returns only in the following circumstances:
The product was received in a physically damaged condition (e.g., broken seal, crushed packaging, leaking product).
The product is defective or does not function as described.
The wrong product was delivered (different SKU, variant, or shade from what was ordered).
Returns are not accepted in any other circumstance, including where you have changed your mind, where the product does not suit your hair type or produce expected results, or where the product has been used or opened.
How to raise a return request
Return requests must be raised within 48 hours of delivery. Requests raised after this window will not be accepted. To raise a return request:
Step 1: email help@beautygarage.com with the subject line “Return Request – [Order ID]”.
Step 2: include your order ID, the name of the product, the reason for return, and clear photographs or an unboxing video showing the damage or defect. An unboxing video is mandatory for damaged or incorrect product claims.
Step 3: our team will review your request and respond within 2 business days with a resolution or a request for additional information.
Step 4: if the return is approved, we will arrange a reverse pickup from your delivery address at no charge to you. You must keep the product in its original condition, with all seals, labels, barcodes, accessories, and packaging intact, and hand it to the courier at the time of pickup.
An unboxing video is mandatory for all claims of damaged, defective, or incorrect products. Claims submitted without a video may not be accepted. We recommend recording an unboxing video for every order.
Products not eligible for return
The following products and circumstances are not eligible for return under any circumstance:
Products that have been used, opened, or partially consumed.
Products with tampered, removed, or missing seals, labels, or barcodes.
Trial packs, sample sizes, and promotional giveaway items.
Customised or made-to-order product kits.
Products purchased under flash sales, clearance sales, or special promotional offers, unless received in a damaged or defective condition.
Return requests raised after 48 hours of confirmed delivery.
Products not purchased directly from beautygarage.com.
Quality check
All returned products undergo a quality check upon receipt at our warehouse. If the returned product does not meet the eligibility criteria (e.g., it is found to have been used, seals are missing, or the damage is inconsistent with the claim), the return will be rejected and the product will be sent back to you at no additional charge. A refund will not be issued in such cases.
Refunds
When refunds are issued
Refunds are issued in the following situations:
A prepaid order is cancelled before dispatch.
A return is approved and the returned product passes a quality check.
Beauty Garage Limited cancels an order for any reason.
A product is lost in transit and confirmed undelivered after investigation with our logistics partner.
Refund method
Refunds are credited to the original payment source used at the time of purchase. We do not issue refunds via a different payment method unless the original method is no longer available (e.g., an expired card), in which case we will contact you to arrange an alternative.
Credit card, debit card, net banking, or digital wallet: refund to the original source within 7 to 10 business days of approval.
UPI: refund to the originating UPI ID within 5 to 7 business days of approval.
COD orders: refund via NEFT bank transfer or UPI within 10 to 15 business days of approval. You will be asked to provide your bank account details or UPI ID.
Store credit or coupon (if opted): credited to your Beauty Garage Limited account within 24 to 48 business hours of approval and valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
Refund timelines
The timelines above reflect when Beauty Garage Limited initiates the refund. The actual credit to your account depends on your bank or payment provider and may take additional time beyond Beauty Garage Limited’s initiation. Beauty Garage Limited is not responsible for delays on the part of banks or payment providers once the refund has been initiated.
Shipping charges
Original shipping charges, if any, are non-refundable except in cases where Beauty Garage Limited cancels the order or where the return is due to a damaged, defective, or incorrect product delivered by us.
GST and invoice adjustments
Where a refund is issued, a credit note will be generated against the original GST invoice in accordance with the requirements of the GST Act, 2017. The credit note will be shared with you via your registered email address.
Exchanges
We do not offer direct product exchanges at this time. If you have received a damaged, defective, or incorrect product, please raise a return request as described above. Once the return is approved and the product is received and passes quality check, you may place a fresh order for the correct product on the Platform.
Orders Lost or Delayed in Transit
If your order has not been delivered within 7 business days of the estimated delivery date, please contact us at help@beautygarage.com with your order ID. We will initiate an investigation with our logistics partner within 2 business days of your complaint.
If the order is confirmed lost in transit, BGL will offer you a full refund or a replacement shipment at no additional cost, at your preference. Investigations may take up to 10 business days to conclude.

If you remain unsatisfied after escalation to the Grievance Officer, you may approach the relevant consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Changes to This Policy
Beauty Garage Limited may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our operations or applicable law. The updated version will be posted at https://beautygarage.com/pages/cancellation-policy with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Platform after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from or in connection with this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
